Notice of Pre-Employment Drug Screening Policy
The problem of alcohol and other drug use and abuse is pervasive
in our society. Electric Services, Inc. and all of
its employees are committed to providing a safe and productive
work environment free of such use and abuse. In order
to maintain this commitment, the company requires a pre-employment
drug test of all job applicants who are otherwise qualified
to assume the positions they are applying for. Passage
of such a test is condition of hire. Electric Services,
Inc. WILL NOT HIRE AN INDIVIDUAL WHO TESTS POSITIVE FOR
THE ILLEGAL USE OF A CONTROLLED OR SYNTHETIC SUBSTANCE OR
THE USE OF ALCOHOL IN EXCESS OF ESTABLISHED THRESHOLD LEVELS.
At
an appropriate time in the interviewing process, an otherwise
qualified applicant will be referred for his or her scheduled
pre-employment physical. The applicant will be required
to sign a consent form, authorizing the taking of a urine
sample for drug testing, the testing of that sample and
the release of test-related information to the company and
its agents/representatives. At the clinic, the applicant
will be required to present a reliable personal I.D. A
sample of his or her urine then will be taken and testing
of the sample performed. The company will notify the
applicant that he or she has not satisfied the drug test
requirement for employment is not eligible for further employment
consideration.
